OUR REACH

OUR IMPACT

We believe that with the right practical, emotional and financial help in place most vulnerable people can find the strength to overcome their difficulties, no matter how complex. We actively seek to work with people experiencing disadvantage or social isolation because their need is greatest. We are proud of our reputation for innovation and impact.
World Family Relief (WFR) has benefited from the support of many talented volunteers since its inception in 1982. We partner with community, school, university, and corporate organizations, as well as individuals, to develop meaningful internships, work-study opportunities, and in-kind gift programs for families who need financial help.
World Family Relief (WFR) programs are designed to help parents be as effective and nurturing as possible, in the face of challenges such as prior trauma, a history of neglect or abuse, substance abuse, mental illness, poverty, inadequate housing, or lack of social support and financial needs.
Being a parent, even under the best circumstances, can be a difficult job. As a child’s first teacher, a parent lays groundwork for the future during the infant and toddler years. Later in life, a child’s ability to learn, and his or her emotional health, is strongly tied to a parent’s skills.
